Emirates has placed its first Airbus A380 equipped with the Starlink satellite internet system into commercial service following a comprehensive installation and certification process completed in Newquay, UK.
With the new system, passengers will have access to high-speed broadband connectivity exceeding 2 Gbps, enabling free internet usage throughout the flight. Services such as streaming, gaming, and web browsing are now available across all cabin classes.
Emirates previously deployed the system on its Boeing 777-300ER fleet, serving over 650,000 passengers. The airline now plans to rapidly expand Starlink integration across its A380 fleet and is also exploring the introduction of live television broadcasting via the Starlink infrastructure in the future.
